On September 19-21, 2011 the President of the Office for registration of Medicinal Products, Medical Devices and Biocidal products, Mr. Grzegorz Cessak, has participated in the third meeting with Trio Member States representatives, Poland, Denmark and Cyprus, at the Ministry of Health of Cyprus. The meeting has been a continuation of the discussions initiated by the meeting organized at the Polish Office on January 21, 2011 and has been later continued in Copenhagen.

The Heads of Medicines Agencies discussed issues related to the common Trio Presidency priorities in scope of medicinal products registration, medical devices, European co-operation in scope of the new legislation on pharmacovigilance and expected legislation proposals by the European Commission. The scope, topics and types of all meetings organized under the Presidency Trio have been discussed.

The issues of priorities for the November meeting of the Heads of Medicines Agencies, which will be organized on November 3 -4, 2011,have been highlighted.

Due to the rank of meeting participants: European Commission and European Medicines Agency representatives and the dimension of decisions made at the meeting, it is one of the most important meetings organized by the Office, it is classified as a HLV – High Level Meeting, in accordance to the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs classification.
